How can I take a Florida-based company to small claims in California?
I was completely taken by Marketing company called Mexico (AKA Travel Comm). My credit card company closed the case, I opened indicating that the company has a policy of non repayment. I never received an e-mail, letter, nothing …. no services provided. I also have proof that other people bought the same vacation and never got! Each time they call for reservations, dates are supposed to be already full .. blah blah blah … I want to take him to court, but I do not know how? Do I need a lawyer? If yes, what kind of lawyer?
You can not sue them in California, where they are located in Florida, California courts have no jurisdiction in Florida, you need to do is go yourself or have someone represent you.
