It's not really a political issue, but good advice would be greatly appreciated ….?
I have a haven tag …… I am writing a letter of recommendation for someone who I used to watch when I worked at General Motors ………… as you know, the letter usually begins with my information, Lois Griffin Vice President of Marketing for General Motors in Cleveland, Ohio (area code-number phone) (email), but I no longer work there. So how do I write my information? should I just add (2002-2007): Acts like this Griffin Vice President of Marketing (2002-2007) General Motors in Cleveland, Ohio (area code + number) (email) Does that work? Is this the right way to do?
No, it is inappropriate to use an old title in the header. Just use your regular contact information, and in the body of the letter, describe how you know the person (I was his supervisor at GM for x-years).
